Upholstered Fabric Product
Our upholstery fabrics are made from New Zealand wool, and while wool has a natural resistance to soiling, it will need cleaning from time to time. Wool releases dirt easily when cleaned due to its natural spring, so your wool fabrics will stay bright and look great for years.
Our upholstery is easy to care for with light and regular vacuuming, (but don't overdo it - make sure you use the special upholstery attachment supplied and a light setting on your vacuum cleaner).
Most spots and stains are removable if you act promptly:
To clean woollen upholstery use reputable non-alkaline upholstery shampoo, which is recommended for use on wool (and follow the manufacturer's instructions exactly). Don't over-wet the fabric and don't rub - try blotting or dabbing the stain. Never use soap, ammonia, bleach or other cleaners intended for use on hard surfaces.
If your furniture has removable wool covers, drycleaning is recommended as the safest cleaning method. If in doubt, consult a commercial drycleaning firm or laundry.
Protect your upholstery from direct sunlight.
